Scenario Planning II: the implementation

Building on skills and awareness of scenario planning approaches, this module will introduce you to the techniques used to explore and vision the future within scenarios, how to move to structured scenarios of the future and how scenario planning exercises are implemented.

By the end of this module you will have gained competency in:

  • How to implement a scenario planning exercise.
  • Exploring scenario driving forces.
  • Structuring and ordering in scenarios.
  • Creating scenario narratives.
  • Using the results of scenario exercises.

Module content:

Stakeholder participation and organisational input, planning a scenario exercise, scenario driving forces, structuring and ordering of scenarios, scenario axes, scenario logics, scenario writing and reporting, improving decision-making with scenario outcomes.
