Property Law: Adverse Possession

Adverse possession comes up as an issue very often in practice, but is seldom well understood. The purpose of this lecture is to revisit some high-level concepts at play and to identify some of the pitfalls that can emerge in practice. 

The lecture covers a number of topics, including:

  • Section 13(2)(a) of the Statute of Limitations 1957
  • Section 18 of the 1957 Act
  • An “action to recover land”
