This one-hour lecture deals with recent development in the Superior Courts in relation to issues pertaining to delay in diagnosis, delay in obtaining a medical report, nervous shock and how the Court should assess quantum when there are a multiple injuries. The issue of patient empowerment and the professional practice test is also assessed. Furthermore, the lecture givens an overview of The Patient’s Safety Act 2023.
