Undertakings is an area which often causes difficulties for Solicitors. If undertakings are ambiguous or open-ended, this can lead to an application being brought to the High Court to enforce same. It is important that every Solicitor is acutely aware of their obligations and responsibilities in relation to the giving of undertakings in order to protect their own client and the public. This one- hour lecture gives an overview of the law and principles surrounding undertakings.
