This one hour lecture aims to cover the various ways in which legal practitioners might find themselves in difficulties due to a conflict of interest. The presentation engages with the standards expected of legal practitioners, the various duties owed to the client and the Court, the professional code of conduct and the core values of the Solicitor’s profession including honesty, integrity, independence and confidentiality.
