An update on Multi Unit Developments & OMCs

The MUDs Act 2011 introduced new rules and procedures for management companies of multi-unit developments. Since the commencement of the Act, numerous issues have arisen in relation to the failure of developers to transfer common areas and in relation to problems with the Owners Management Company falling off the register, inter alia.

This one hour lecture discusses some of the main problems facing lawyers in this area of law and endeavours to look at some solutions in relation to same. 

The lecture covers a number of topics, including:

  • OMC falling off the register
  • Constitution not compliant with MUDs Act/ Company Law
  • The sinking fund
  • Owners not paying management fees
