Anti-Money Laundering & Accounting I – Are you compliant?

This one hour lecture gives an overview of the Irish law on AML and  sets out the provisions of the EU AML Directives. The Irish Law Society (2018) states "Solicitors may complete this training by completion of the relevant 2 hours in either accounting or anti-money laundering compliance, or any combination thereof."

The lecture covers a number of topics, including:

  • The Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010;
  • The Criminal Justice Act 2013;
  • The 4th EU AML Directive;
  • The ‘5th Directive’       
  • Customer Due Diligence
  • Risk based approach
  • PEPs
  • Crimes and sanctions
