Armin, holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Geography from the Open University [OU], a Masters (MSc) in Regional and Local Development from Dublin Institute of Technology [DIT] and a Masters (MBA) in Business Administration from the OU [Triple accredited: AMBA (UK), EQUIS (International), AACSB (USA)]
Armin has extensive experience working in the area of education and training in further and higher education. Among other things, he prepared a mature student degree programme proposal for validation at Institute of Technology Carlow [ITC], coordinated an adult learner University College Dublin [UCD] Diploma programme locally, and delivered continuing professional development (CPD) for primary and secondary school teachers in conjunction with local authorities nationwide. He also trained third level lecturers in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) theory and practice in connection with the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014).
Armin is Founding Director of CPD-Philanthropy, a model which he developed in 2014 as part of an MBA initiative with the Open University Business School. He has worked in the roles of Associate Lecturer in higher education, Project Manager [Jigsaw/Headstrong - The National Centre for Youth Mental Health], Programmes & Services Co-ordinator/Manager [ECO-UNESCO] and Programme Co-ordinator [An Cosán - The Shanty Education and Training Centre].
Armin has volunteered as trainer and facilitator on international exchange initiatives and acted as a non-executive Director (Treasurer) with Volunteering Service International. [VSI] He was also a member of the sustainable development sub-group/Community Work Ireland [CWI] which oversaw the EPA funded publication: "A Strategy Guide for the Community Sector in responding to Climate Change".
