Commercial Law – An update 2021

This one-hour lecture gives a practical overview on the changes in the law relating to  practice and procedures & hearsay evidence in commercial proceedings. Furthermore, it analyses how recent case law has impacted commercial settlements and explains how this might be of relevance to practice.

The lecture covers a number of topics, including:

  • Admissibility of Hearsay Evidence in Commercial Proceedings.
  • O’Malley – how has it changed pleading practices in debt recovery?
  • The development of the concept of “Delay” in receiver injunctions.
  • How has the Defender case impacted commercial settlements?
