Defamation claims in the context of social media posts have become much more prevalent in recent years, given the wide-ranging use of Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms by individuals and corporations.

The Courts are increasingly being asked to make assessments in relation to defamation claims on social media. This one hour lecture analyses at the various issues surrounding defamation cases in the context of social media.
